Trial status: Phase III. Sponsor: National Institutes of Health Trial design: A randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled trial of high dose (2400 mg) CoQ-10 compared to placebo in 608 participants. The trial is funded for five years, but will be stopped earlier if benefit is shown. Location: Recruiting has begun in a portion of the 43 Huntington Study Group centers who are participating in this study. Outcome measures: Comparison of UHDRS scores, functional capacity, and volumetric MRI brain scans before and after treatment. The primary endpoint is functional capacity. |
